Missy Sleeping in the Spring Sunshine

This is a picture of Missy, my cat, enjoying a nap on a beautiful spring day.

We adopted Missy almost 11 years ago from the Athens Area Humane Society, and she’s about 15 years old. Missy is a Tabby Calico mix (a Tabico), and is very friendly.

She is the oldest of our four cats and loves attention. Besides being outside and enjoying the nice weather she also really enjoys music.

Whenever someone sits down to play our piano, she jumps onto the bench beside them and starts purring and rubbing against them. She loves to hear the piano- any song is fine with her!- and she will stay until you finish playing.

Rather than play, Missy likes to curl up in the window or outside on a chair and take a nap in the sun, or sit beside you and be petted.

She’s a very friendly and smart cat, who really enjoys the springtime weather.
