Kitten Pictures : Ok I must admit, I love cats and I think as many people that kitten are incredibly cute !

Images of playful kittens come to mind when I imagine farm life. I picture a multi-colored litter of them playing in the grass, chasing mice and frolicking with their siblings around the farmhouse. I imagine them wearing out after a long day and falling asleep in the hammock on the porch that wraps around the front of the house. I think of them pouncing on leaves, following their owners to the barn for early morning chicken feeding and milking of the cows.

I see them chasing the chickens and trying to get a taste of the milk coming from the cow, nearly knocking over the pail in the process. Kittens are seen often in a farm setting, lazily enjoying a sunny day, content to just be kittens without a care in the world.

I know cats always showed up at our farm and kittens seemed to arrive sometime shortly afterward. Their play and affection was a welcome addition to farm life.

Our cats hunted to supplement their diet so they were good mouse catchers although they were sometimes hard on the songbirds that came to our bird feeder.

There were many sad days because the kittens were prone to get under the wheels of the equipment unless they learned to stay away at an early age. Kittens were were as much a part of our farm life as growing crops and caring for the land.

This photo portrays a barn kitten, A litter of kittens usually consists of two to five kittens. Cared for and kept warm by their mother for three weeks, I have only one question : which one do you want ?
