Farm day here in Victoria, Australia is traditional.
Host farm families donate their time to city kids who may never have experienced the pleasures of Farm Life.
Lorraine and Ron Trewick from Elmore were kind enough to invite us to experience their sheep and cattle run and drive through their vast wheat and barley plains in Elmore.
The Poppit, ie the granddaughter, got to ride on this little work horse, sit in the huge harvesters, see where the sheep got shorn, play with new born Kelpie puppies, chase the chooks and geese, climb the silos and round up the sheep for market.
Thoroughly exhausted, she was asleep 5 minutes after we left the farm to drive the 150 kms back home.
