The season of autumn is the most spectacular time of year, especially in the country. Country scenery is always beautiful, but the fall display tops them all.

Autumn in the country means many days of hard work and comfortable nights on the porch, watching leaves turn colors and fall from the trees. Autumn is a magical time and you can share your own favorite photos of this special time below.

Trees put on a brilliant display of colors as the weather gets colder. Farmers busily harvest their crops in preparation for winter. After the harvest comes the celebrations of bounteous harvest.

There is nothing like spending a fall day in the country in togetherness with nature. Photos of autumn scenes capture this seasonal beauty so that we can enjoy it all year round.


A Time of Harvest

Fall scenery on a farm includes the harvest. The fields of orange pumpkins and golden grain fields are scenes we all remember when we thing of autumn harvest time.

Autumn is traditionally the season of harvest time. Crops are gathered in and sold or stored for the coming winter. This is the busiest time of year on the farm. There is plenty of work for all to do.

Fall harvest pictures bring to mind golden wheat fields and pumpkin patches splashed with orange color. And in late September or early October, the golden harvest moon rises in the night sky.

Thanksgiving and celebrations of the harvest are all a traditional part of our autumn season. The tables are loaded with a wonderful turkey dinner with apple pie, pumpkin pie, and every kind of delicious food.

Autumn cornucopias are a symbol of harvest abundance. They overflow with good things of the country.

Eastern Canada and New England in the United States are famous for their brilliant autumn colors. The mass of green leaves change into a potpourri medley of yellow, red, and brown hues and then fall to the earth.

As days get shorter and cooler, and the nights get longer. The months of September, October, and November are the recognized months of fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Each fall, millions of deciduous trees begin their preparations for their dormant winter period.

As summer turns into winter, the spectacular show of Autumn nature doesn't last long. The colors fade and disappear. The trees turn bare and snow blankets the ground.
